Oakton, Va. — June 12, 2008 -- LeapFrog Solutions, Inc. (LFS), a full-service strategic marketing communications firm, announced today that Linda Kolker, communications specialist for LeapFrog Solutions, Inc., received a Leadership Award from the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC) at the Charlottesville Innovation Awards Gala held on May 22, 2008. The award is given to an individual volunteer member of CBIC who has provided exemplary contributions to the organization. Kolker chairs the organization’s Communications committee, is the communications officer of CBIC and serves on the Board of Directors.
During the past year, Kolker’s committee renamed and rebranded the organization; managed media relations and marketing communications for six monthly events and two major events, the Annual Business Forum and the Charlottesville Innovation Awards; and sent out a monthly e-newsletter.
“We have a dynamic group of very experienced marketers on the Communications committee, which allowed us to achieve an amazing level of activity with just a few volunteers. They have been real co-leaders,” Kolker said. “We have a thriving entrepreneurial and technology sector, and it offers much promise for the kind of small-footprint growth suited to this region. It’s a vision for the future that I’m committed to.”
Kolker has been with LeapFrog Solutions, Inc. since 1998. She writes copy, performs Web site audits, usability analysis and user testing, and prepares marketing communications plans for clients.
