Direct Mail Production Artist
LeapFrog Solutions seeks a highly motivated, self-starting individual to join a growing dynamic strategic marketing communications firm in Oakton, Virginia, known for its collaborative team environment. The Direct Mail Production Artist works with the Creative department and Account Executives to provide support and handle high volume production of direct mail artwork into production-ready files.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience and at least 3 years of experience as a production artist is required. Agency experience preferred.
- Prepares direct mail mechanical art and imaging files for printer vendors, can handle multiple project deadlines concurrently, and is familiar with placing component codes, indicias, versioning, print finishing, etc.
- Handles quality control of direct mail files, proofing and pre-flighting pieces for final output to printers and vendors with an attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe CS3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, In design, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office for Mac (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Entourage) is required.
- Talents must include strong organizational and interpersonal skills (both oral and written), the ability to work independently and as part of a team, conceptualizing and adapting to changes rapidly, and the ability to efficiently and effectively multitask.
