The Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) was seeking to capture as much information as possible from the employees who lost their jobs from the Independence Air closing. The information gathered would be used to determine what training services the dislocated workers needed and whether they were eligible for no-cost training. What the VEC needed was a direct mail campaign to gather the information.
LeapFrog Solutions (LFS) designed and edited the survey for the Rapid Response Mailing. This included the survey letter, the envelope with the callout to respond, and the return postage-paid envelope. The mailing went out to the Independence Air mailing list that was provided to LeapFrog Solutions by the VEC. LFS provided a report that included an executive summary highlighting the overall results, an overview grid of the breakdown on these results, and the original letters.
LFS received an overwhelming response with 617 surveys. The information compiled from the surveys will be used to develop a program that meets the personal training and career needs of those who lost their jobs.
